The Miracle of Moringa - Magic Hour

The Miracle of Moringa

Posted by Alex Melen on

“Come, Boy, sit down. Sit down and rest."
And the boy did.
And the tree was happy.
― Shel Silverstein, The Giving Tree
Trees are the guardian angels of our planet.

They stand watch as we spin through the cosmos. They sustain life as we go about our day, taking in each breath of the oxygen they generously give.

Let us remember that our roots are in the Earth and our dreams are in the Stars.

This month our Members Only tea is the magical, wellness benefit rich Moringa Moon, featured in The Giving Box. This exquisite wellness tea is designed to sustain your radiance & joy as we begin the Winter season.

Moringa is called the Tree of Life or Miracle Tree. Moringa has been used for over 5,000 years as a healing plant and is a valuable food crop, drought resistant, grows very fast and is highly nutritive. The emerald green leaves contain several vitamins & minerals that support healthy metabolism and healthy inflammatory level.

Moringa leaves are 25% protein and contain all 9 essential amino acids. They’re also a great source of fiber and plant-based iron. Moringa leaf powder contains an astonishing 28 mg of iron per 100g!

Here's The Short List of Moringa's Wellness Benefits:

  • Antiviral
  • Antifungal
  • Antidepressant
  • Anticancer
  • Fat Burning
  • Increases Energy
  • Alleviates Symptoms of Menopause
  • Protects The Skin, Eyes, Liver, Kidneys & Heart

In the video below, Magic Hour Founder & Master Blender, Zhena Muzyka, gives a thorough explanation of Moringa's miraculous benefits.

November's Giving Box is a divine partnership with Tara & Lyn of Global Resource Alliance (GRA), a 501 (c)(3) non-profit who focus on bringing clean water and sustainable resources in a remote region of Tanzania called "Mara."

The Giving Box with caffeine-free Moringa Moon Tea has already raised over $5,000 in donations for Global Resource Alliance (GRA), which goes directly to their tree planting & permaculture programs.

In November 2020, our donations will help plant 20,000-28,000 trees!

In the next video, meet Tara Maria Blasco & Lyn Hebenstreit, the Co-Founders of Global Resource Alliance and learn more about the positive impact they are making on the planet!

Their Vision:

"We believe that each woman, man and child on earth has a right to the resources necessary to enjoy a life of dignity and an environment that fosters personal growth and development. We believe that by utilizing the abundant resources available to all human beings - the mind's unlimited creativity, the heart's unbounded capacity for love and the abundant forces of life that flow through all the kingdoms of nature - such a world is possible ..."

They are currently funding two support programs that help orphans and impoverished children in this area by providing:

  • Maize, beans and rice
  • Basic healthcare
  • School uniforms and supplies
  • Weekly group activities such as art, drama, sports and singing
  • Emergency healthcare for guardians
  • Secondary school tuition
  • Vocation training for students not attending secondary school

Many of these children grow up and graduate from universities all over the world!

GRA believes that natural, affordable, locally grown herbs and trees provide an important, and often overlooked, solution to the many health challenges facing residents of Tanzania's Lake Victoria region. They have promoted the use of a variety of herbal remedies, including neem and, of course, Moringa oleifera.

Another area of their positive impact is the prevention and treatment of Malaria. Malaria is the number one health challenge for people living in the Lake Victoria Region of Tanzania. According to UN estimates, one child in Africa dies every 30 seconds from malaria. It accounts for one in five childhood deaths. GRA is responding to this crisis by promoting and subsidizing the use of a homeopathic neem tincture and mosquito bed nets to prevent malaria, as well as the use of Master Mineral Supplement (MMS) to treat malaria.
