Meet Queen of the Rainforest - a Cacao-Berry Tea for Energizing your Brightest Dreams

Posted by Alex Melen on

Sip the rich rains and renewing energy of Mother Earth with our newest RoyalTea, Queen of the Rainforest! This chocolate-berry steep is dreamy, luxurious, incredibly energizing and satisfying for any sweet tooth.

And what better time to sip this tea than in April, which is Earth Month. In truth, every month is a time to celebrate and support our precious planet, through care, conscious practices and supporting initiatives that encourage her health and vitality, as well as our own.

At Magic Hour, everything we do is in reverence to the abundance of Mother Earth -- her blossoms and botanicals, her herbs, fruits and spices, her fertile soils, pure waters and lush plants. This is why we always strive to solely support organic and biodynamic tea fields, as well as staying sustainable in our own practices as well.

Now let's explore the many facets of this new Queen!

Magic-hour

The Glory of Guayusa

This vibrant blend features Guayusa, an energizing herb of the Ecuadorian Rainforest and a relative of the well-known Yerba Mate. With double the antioxidants of green tea and high levels of chlorogenic acids which benefit weight loss and heart health, this tea is dedicated to nourishing your well-being, while preserving the well-being of the precious rainforests.

It is a cultural and economic staple in rainforest communities, sipped daily and harvested with sacred care by indigenous populations - in reverence to both for the earth itself as well as this plant's many profound benefits. The focus of these communities is to preserve organic, sustainable practices, promote biodiversity, and nourish the rich culture Guayusa supports. Mild on the palate due to its lack of tannins, removing any trace of bitterness on the tongue, this satisfying steep is heavenly for:

- Its wealth of antioxidants

- Blood sugar balancing

- Metabolism, energy and mood

- Heart health and immune support

The Queen's Qualiteas

Green Rooibos is a tea that hails from South Africa, and is both flavorful and caffeine free. Whereas typical red or brown-colored rooibos undergoes a fermentation process, green rooibos does not. This creates an earthier, more pristine flavor profile and gives it a higher antioxidant content, which can help us fight off free radicals, while nourishing the heart and our digestion. It is also low in tannins, which can impact absorption for certain nutrients, such as iron. It also supports a healthy heart, digestion, and our overall immune system.

Elderberry has been touted for centuries for its supportive, immune-boosting properties, including its ability to combat infections, influenza, pain and so much more. It’s also incredible nutrient-rich, high in antioxidants as well as vitamin C, and helps fight harmful bacteria to keep our health and vitality strong, even helping to reduce cold and flu duration.

Juicy, jammy and perfectly sweet, Strawberries are rich in vitamin C, manganese and a wealth of antioxidants, supporting heart health, helping lower oxidative stress, reducing inflammation, nourishing our blood and helping to lower “bad” (LDL) cholesterol levels.

Cacao isn't just delicious, it's rich with nutritional value. Cacao contains flavonoids, which nourish our blood and can help lower blood pressure and help fight inflammation. Raw, organic cacao also contains over 40 times the antioxidants of blueberries, and is rich with iron, magnesium and calcium.

The Perfect Steep

Queen of the Rainforest is a truly one-of-a-kind tea to both nourish you from within while also supporting the vital indigenous communities who harvest Guayusa and help to preserve our precious planet.
