The High Priestess

The High Priestess

The role of the High Priestess is fate. She is the born leader of balancing dark and light and managing duality with stoic grace. She knows that spirit forms into matter through duality and she understands the dark side of the moon as she shines in the sun. To embody the High Priestess archetype is to choose the inner life while living in an external world. To be the High Priestess you mature swiftly into the role of no longer needing approval, no longer seeking acceptance, no longer questing for any outward “manifestations” of other people’s permission to be yourself, claim yourself, and crown your Self the priestess of your life.

The High Priestess oracle arrives when you are on a powerful path of self discovery and enhancement, it is an internal archetype that inspires deep retrospection and consideration of your habits and thought forms. This is a time for you to go within and take inventory of what you are still seeking from outer sources to justify your own desires for quiet power. This is not a card of seeking but of being. The High Priestess knows her worth and understands her value, she is questing to understand though how and where to balance the rich inner landscape of her world with the tapestry of modern life that requires so much of her time and focus. To have an internal life that is as developed as the external life is the quest of this card. The High Priestess is on a path of balancing inner and outer, dark and light, the unconscious and conscious, and the world of demands with the need of inner command.

If you are seeking to develop more of your true Self in order to express that Self into the world, you can start with a morning meditation practice. Sit with this card and tea and breathe slowly, inhale the aroma of the Nootropic herbs and intoxicating mints. As you inhale the scent of The High Priestess allow the perfect balance of spice and mint to harmonize the hemispheres of your brain and call forth the esteemed aspects of your empowered nature—the characteristics of inner leadership that you have cannot be underestimated. Cast a circle of light around you before you rise for the day, seeing the circle as a perfect balance between inner and outer, dark and light, nondual. Seek nothing outside of yourself for your worth or acceptance, do this for yourself each day and then move into your world in a new way, as the High Priestess of your life.

The High Priestess dreams and then examines those dreams—not for outer validation but for inner dimensional work. Be the power of this card but no longer needing anyone’s validation. Accept and transcend the need for validation as you accept and validate yourself and your Self. Understand and accept your dark nature as a gift. Understand and accept your light nature as a virtue. You are all of these aspects, you are all. Remember with this card not to reach outside but to know internally that nondual is the rule. Live in the non duality of reaching for nothing and being everything. The power is in the energetics of this balance.
