The Nourishing Ingredients of Solstice Moon - Magic Hour

The Nourishing Ingredients of Solstice Moon

Posted by Magic Hour Teas on

It has been an exquisite five months, sipping and sharing our Blue Moon Inner Beauty Collection. And the fifth and final tea will surely bring a December to Remember. ;)

Solstice Moon was inspired by the cosmos, the holidays, and the glorious Winter Solstice, as part of our Holiday Beauty Box. This blend evokes a time of hibernation, to embrace your personal transformation! Taking time for yourself is beautiful, and each sip celebrates this. Joy and aliveness are beauty!

Let's explore some of its lavish, nourishing ingredients.

Organic White Tea is cooling on the system, and contains the highest levels of antioxidants of any other tea type because it is not processed. White Tea is also high in L-theanine, which encourages feelings of steadiness and calm. L-theanine supports skin elasticity and helps protect against skin damage and premature aging, enhancing your youthful glow and creating a smooth, even complexion. White tea can also help your body absorb nutrients more efficiently, supporting weight management and giving your metabolism a boost.

Organic Apple contains pectin, which is a prebiotic that helps our digestive system build vital probiotics. The gut is where we produce much of our serotonin (around 95%!), so our gut health directly correlates to the health of our brain and our feelings of joyfulness.

Ginger is a beautifully supportive herb for both digestion and circulation, two key proponents to our ultimate vitality. Ginger helps to warm our power center, as well as stoke and sustain our inner fire. Additionally, it aids against seasonal allergies and illness, nourishing the heart and providing an invigorating and refreshing taste to this tantalizing tea.

Clove is a powerful herb for our oral health, as well the health of our liver and bones. They are antioxidant-rich, antibacterial, and their compounds can also help balance blood sugar.

Organic Cinnamon also helps balance blood sugar and contains a wealth of medicinal properties. It is antioxidant-rich, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, antibacterial and antifungal. Cinnamon is also a prebiotic, which means it promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria within the gut, nourishing digestion, slowing the breakdown of carbohydrates and helping to balance nutrients and improve efficiency within the intestinal tract.

Butterfly Pea Flower helps fight free radicals, lowers inflammation and keeps us looking and feeling youthful, inside and out. It has been sipped for centuries as a beauty enhancer, nootropic and memory booster. It is collagen-producing for our skin, hair and nails, while reducing the appearance of skin inflammation and wrinkles. Butterfly Pea Flower supports brain health and cognitive function, provides increased energy and productivity with a sense of ease and relaxation, supports digestion, weight management and flushes toxins out of the body.

Pink Peppercorns are not only beautiful to observe in this blend with their blush hue, but they have a surprisingly sweet flavor, enhancing the delicious taste of this tea.

Star Anise has been shown to contain antibacterial and antifungal properties which help prevent infections - particularly skin infections, and can mimic the presence of estrogen in the body which can help reduce the symptoms of menopause.

We hope you adore this tea as much as we do, as it is heavenly hot or iced.

Sacred Steepings:
Steep 1-2 heaping teaspoons of Solstice Moon in freshly boiled spring or filtered water which is cooled to 170-180 degrees. We recommend giving your jar or pouch a gentle shake before portioning, to ensure you get a healthy sprinkling of each ingredient in every cup. Cheers to you!

Watch below, as Zhena explores more of this exquisite blend, and breaks the rules a bit with a decadent Solstice Moon Latte. ;)
