The Harmonious Ingredients of Honeysuckle Moon

Posted by Magic Hour Teas on

Honeysuckle Moon is our exquisite Blue Moon Beauty Tea for the month of November, and it is truly a sight (and sip!) to behold. This was one of our most intricate teas to formulate, and was inspired by Zhena's childhood, and the lush honeysuckle that would grow around her home. It alchemizes Organic Apple, Organic Zante Currant, Organic White Tea, Butterfly Pea Flowers, Organic Honeysuckle Flowers, Organic Rose Petals, Organic Strawberry, Organic Hibiscus, Organic Blackberry Leaf with Natural Honeysuckle Flavor and Vanilla Extract.

Let's explore some of the healing benefits of these unique ingredients.

White Tea is high in L-theanine, an amino acid that helps us stay joyful, steady and calm. It supports skin elasticity and helps protect against skin damage and premature aging, enhancing your youthful glow and creating a smooth, even complexion. Drinking white tea can help your body absorb nutrients more efficiently, while also supporting weight management and giving your metabolism a healthy boost. White tea nourishes our hair, provides calm alertness and focus, improves oral health, and promotes a healthy heart.

Butterfly Pea Flower has been sipped for centuries as an extraordinary beauty enhancer, nootropic and memory booster. It is collagen-producing for our skin, hair and nails, boosting blood flow to our scalp and strengthening hair follicles. It also reduces the appearance of skin inflammation, wrinkles and soothes our complexion. Butterfly Pea Flower supports brain health and cognitive function, provides increased energy and productivity with a sense of ease and relaxation, supports digestion, weight management and flushes toxins out of the body.

Honeysuckle Flower nourishes our digestive system and helps lower inflammation throughout the body. It is also incredibly supportive for the respiratory system, to aid against cold and flu symptoms. It is beautifying for our skin, helps enhance our immune system and is the perfect ally for the winter season.

Rose Petals have been used medicinally in China and India for thousands of years. They bring a lush bouquet of vitamins A, C, and E, enhancing inner and outer glow. The luxurious flower is revered for the healing effect it has on the heart, digestion, and in beautifying the skin from the inside out. Roses are high in antioxidants quercetin and ellagic acid, which contribute to bright, lucid skin, and a happy heart.

Hibiscus is a tart, antioxidant-rich herb that supports the regeneration and revitalization of our cells, and nourishes the health of our blood and circulation. Specifically, it helps lower blood pressure and cuts fat from the blood. It also boosts liver health and possesses antibacterial qualities. It is another fantastic ally for nourishing the gut and supporting weight loss, to encourage slimming and eliminate bloating. In test tube studies, Hibiscus extract has even been shown to reduce the growth & spread of prostate, stomach, mouth and plasma cancer cells. Studies have also found it effective in fighting bacterial infections -- a true immunity powerhouse!

Blackberry Leaves are rich in tannins, flavonoids, and phenolic acids, which have shown to contain antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, cardio-protective, and neuro-protective properties. This means they can be beneficial in a variety of ways, from soothing a sore throat, helping to boost the immune system, bringing a youthful glow from within, nourishing the digestive system and warding off harmful diseases.

Apples support healthy digestion - and digestive health equates to inner health and external beauty! Apples contain pectin which is a prebiotic that helps the body produce gut-boosting probiotics. You’ve no doubt heard the phrase, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away,” but an apple a day actually keeps digestion happy!

Watch as Zhena shares about this one-of-a-kind blend, and steeps it into a deliciously refreshing Iced Tea!
